The house is an exquisite example of 15th century architecture and the family home of the Marquis of Bath.

Famous for its lions the safari park allows close proximity to animals from the African Savannah including hippos, giraffe and rhinos – with deer, wolves, bats and tarantulas adding variety!

Seasonal Events (2021)

  • Tales of the Garden - 28th May – 12th September 2021: Explore Longleat experience specially commissioned sculptures, blooming up across the dewy grounds, telling some of our favourite stories of Longleat in a brand new and unique way.
  • Museum of the Moon -19th June – 12th September 2021: Experience Museum of the moon this summer. An astounding astronomical work of art by UK artist Luke Jerram; featuring a 6 metre suspended replica of our ever so unexplored astral acquaintance. It has been created using satellite photography to map it’s undulating surface with complete accuracy.
  • Nocturnal Natives - 19th June – 12th September 2021: We’re celebrating the nocturnal natives of our rural Wiltshire estate, with dramatically enlarged straw sculptures of these heroes of the night. When the Park slumbers, it becomes their playground, hunting ground and foraging ground.
  • Sky Safari - 10th - 12th September 2021: The Spectacular Sky Safari is once again returning to the skies for 2020.
  • Festival Of Light - Selected dates from the 5th November - 8th January 2022: The amazing festival of lights will be returning once again, theme to be confirmed.
