Best Places to Eat Out in Frome including Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes

Sally's Top Fifteen Places to Eat Out in Frome

Our self catering cottages and lodges near Frome offer modern fully equipped kitchens but after a long day out, visiting Bath, enjoying Longleat with discount tickets or discovering more about Stonehenge you might NOT want to spend an evening cooking for the family for the umpteenth time - and who'd blame you?

Thankfully we're only a few minutes from Frome town centre so you'll be spoilt for choice with a multitude of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from.

Frome offers many more restaurants and eateries other than the ones I've listed  - these are just some of my favourites for you to check out and enjoy!

I've listed below 15 of of my favourite places to eat in Frome, these make my list as they're the eateries we typically visit the most, either as a family or as a couple on a (rare) date night.

Frome Cafes and Bistros

I've decided to include some of my favourite cafes in Frome though please note they tend not to open in the evening so more of a late afternoon thing, if you get back early and find yourself ravenous!

At the top of the street (making it a great place to people watch outside) there is always a great atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff and amazing quality food - though I'll be honest it's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality in my experience.

A cosy place to sit with lovely coffee and pastries being served It's a cool place to hang out on Catherine Hill. Moo and Two is dog friendly too... but that might not suit everyone.

This cafe is great but it can get overly busy as its popular with the locals - so you might need to be patient and wait for a seat. Worth a visit though.

A really funky independent cafe in Frome, Steve and I absolutely love it! There's plenty of outdoor seating too plus they play some great music on vinyl!

This pub has some amazing decor which never ceases to surprise me. They offer good sized portions for the money and do a brilliant Sunday Roast that's worth experiencing! Book ahead to avoid disappointment I say.

A very traditional Frome pub, my other half loves it as they offer Butcome Original on draft. They offer classic pub grub from their menu but it's all fairly priced.

An olde worlde stone pub that's got lots of quirky rooms to sit in. They offer up pretty decent food - we think their burgers are some of the best in Frome. In our experience they take great pride in always going the extra mile for their customers.

A really spacious Chinese restaurant for those that love their noodles! They make a mean Singapore Noodles here by the way. Can be a little pricey but we've enjoyed our previous visits.

Little tip - grab a table upstairs and get a great view out over the street. Probably worth booking ahead, certainly on weekends.

Set in the heart of Frome (it's on Palmer Street), High Pavement is a family run restaurant that offers exquisite Moorish Tapas food - its REALLY popular so you may need to book (as we do) months in advance.
