Stylish self-catering holidays and short breaks in Somerset

Sally's Favourite Places to Eat in Frome including Restaurants, Pubs and Cafes

After a long day, perhaps visiting Bath, enjoying Longleat with discount tickets or discovering more about Stonehenge you might NOT want to spend an evening cooking for the family for the umpteenth time and who'd blame you?

Thankfully, our self catering holiday accommodation is only a few minutes drive from Frome town centre so you'll be spoilt for choice with a multitude of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from.

I've listed below 14 of of my favourite places to eat in Frome, these make my list as they're the eateries we typically visit the most, either as a family or as a couple on a (rare) date night. There are more establishments in Frome but these are the ones I know as a local to the town.

Frome Cafes

I've included some of my favourite cafes in Frome but please note they generally don't open in the evening, they're more of a brunch, lunch or late afternoon thing for us.

Café La Strada

This popular cafe in Frome has earnt 395 Google Reviews - mostly 5 star from what I've read! In my experience it's a well run independently owned cafe with exemplary service and great food and drinks.

At the top of the street (making it a great place to people watch outside) there is always a great atmosphere with incredibly friendly staff and amazing quality food - though I'll be honest it's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality in my experience. Open 7 days a week.
